Clear Creek has alumni serving in many areas of ministry where God is using them in great ways. I wanted to share with you an alumni spotlight from 1998 graduate Emery Minton.
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them"—Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
"That Scripture is so true for my ministry journey," says Minton. "As a young adult, God called me into ministry, specifically youth ministry. After some time I had the opportunity to attend Clear Creek and better equip myself to serve in the area of my passion. Twenty years ago this coming May, I graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College. My time at CCBBC prepared me more for my future than I would realize.
"Looking back over the last 20-plus years of ministry, I am in awe of how God has allowed me to join Him in His work," recalls Minton. "I thought I knew exactly what and where God wanted me to serve with my life. Little did I know the journey God would take me on. All of my experiences, my time at Clear Creek, student ministry, college ministry, church administration, and the executive director of First Priority Tri-States, would all lead me to the one area I never dreamed I would ever experience: pastoring a church plant.
"In 2013, God made it clear to me that the next step in my journey was to be the lead pastor at Christian Life Fellowship in Jonesville, Va. God has been faithful to us and we have seen this non-traditional church plant in Southwest Virginia grow from 60 to just over 300 in just a few short years.
I am so thankful I had the opportunity to be a part of Clear Creek and the preparation I received for my future. Yes, God does prepare us in advance for good works that He has planned for His people.
For 92 years now, God has been using Clear Creek to train people called into ministry just like Emery Minton. Thank you for your support of Clear Creek. Your investment in Kingdom work helps us to fulfill the mission God has given us to equip those He calls for Christian service.
