Thoughts from graduates, Part II

Female student from Oneida—“In my six years at OBI, I’ve made many friends and many memories that I will never forget. I will always be thankful for the time I’ve spent at OBI. I want to thank my mom and dad for supporting me through the hard times and encouraging me to do my best in every aspect of life. I also want to give thanks to God for the many wonderful memories I have at OBI.”

Female student from Harlan—“OBI will always have a special place in my heart. This is my second home, and I have made the best of friends and amazing memories here.”

Female student from Lexington—“My time at OBI made me improve as a person as well as a student. Thank you to the staff for being my second family, and always helping me through a hard day. Thank you for loving us and being understanding in the dorm.”

Female student from Texas—“My time at OBI has been a blast. I have met so many great students and staff. I have learned to do my best, and all will work out. God has a plan, all you have to do is follow. Thank you to all for everything you have done.”

Female student from Ethiopia—“OBI is a place where I heard the word of God every day, and it was also an eye-opening experience for me. I have learned to live in peace with people, and I am grateful because I am leaving this place as a completely different person.”

Male student from Papua New Guinea—“My time at Oneida was awesome. Both the students and the staff were good and friendly. Oneida was a good Christian environment that helped me. I would like to thank God for His unfailing love. I am thankful for the staff members at OBI for always encouraging me and keeping me out of trouble.”

Male student from Ethiopia—“My time at OBI has been a major lesson in my life that I will hopefully carry throughout my journey. I would like to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to attend OBI. I’d also like to thank my administrators for being so tough on me and it’s all out of love. Lastly, I want to thank my teachers for their prayers and devotions at the beginning of every class.”

Larry Gritton is the president of Oneida Baptist Institute.
